Is it for me?
Big summer navy action for viewers who want explosions and a steady captain more than sharp dialogue. Early on, Russian forces try to snatch one of the scientists, and the ship narrowly avoids a nuclear strike in Europe. Eric Dane plays the commander calm and decisive, and that keeps the shakier scripts afloat.
Before you start
The first two seasons stay tight and ship-bound; later seasons move onto land and get broader.
