Is it for me?
Horror viewers who want grief and mood over jump scares can settle in here. Ben Mendelsohn plays Ralph numbed and quiet, so the impossible feels plausible. Jason Bateman, as the coach, tells a long Little League story that makes you like him. Cynthia Erivo gives Holly Gibney an odd, unpolished charm and does much of the detective work.
Before you start
The early episodes play as a police procedural with interviews and flashbacks; the show stays slow after the strange stuff takes over in episode three.
1 season, 10 episodes, 60 min each, about 10 hours so far
