Season 9 of The Rookie premieres on Wednesday, 6 January 2027 at 9pm ET on Hulu.
Is it for me?
A cop show for people who like their procedurals steady, with a lead they enjoy spending time with and a bit of ribbing about age. Nathan Fillion plays Nolan eager and self-aware, so the jokes land without turning him into a clown. He smashes a car window using the wrong tool on a hot-car call, and training officer Bishop corrects him afterward.
Before you start
Each episode closes its own cases, so the pilot is a fair test; later seasons spend more time on the officers' relationships and spinoff crossovers.
8 seasons, 144 episodes, 60 min each, about 144 hours so far
