This City Is Ours
DramaCrime2025Rated 7.0
Michael is the right-hand man to Liverpool crime boss Ronnie, who wants to retire and hand him the family drug business. Then Michael falls for Diana, and for the first time has something to lose.
Starring James Nelson-Joyce, Hannah Onslow, Jack McMullen
Next season
Season 3announced, no date yet
All at once, 8 episodes, last aired Sun, 25 Oct 2026
Is it for me?
Crime drama fans who like local voices and a strong soundtrack will settle in. Early on, Diana, who is going through IVF, asks Michael straight out whether he has ever killed anyone, and the scene feels like a first date with one very bad question in it. Sean Bean plays Ronnie gruff and watchful, and his dry banter with James Nelson-Joyce lands.
Before you start
It is a slow burn, so expect conversations and family tension in most episodes, with violence only in short bursts between them.
2 seasons, 16 episodes, 57 min each, about 15 hours so far
