Two Weeks in August

Viewers who enjoy spending time with unlikeable people will get on with this sour holiday comedy, a British White Lotus with scorpions and bad plumbing. The housekeeper's warnings start the jokes early, and at the first group dinner Dan unloads his money and mental health troubles across the table. Jessica Raine swings Zoe between exasperation and barely held-in anger.

It starts as slow, awkward social comedy and gets more chaotic as the holiday goes on, so give the early episodes a little patience.
