We Were Liars
Thriller2025Rated 5.7
Seventeen-year-old Cadence returns to her wealthy family's private island off Martha's Vineyard a year after an accident wiped her memory. Her cousins and her first love won't talk about it, so she investigates herself.
Starring Candice King, Caitlin Fitzgerald, Mamie Gummer
Next season
Season 2announced, no date yet
All at once, last aired Wed, 18 Jun 2025
Is it for me?
It's a soapy summer mystery for people who like picking at a rich family's secrets more than racing to an answer. The three Sinclair sisters trade passive-aggressive digs over a Father's Day gathering. Those scenes are sharper than the teenagers' brooding. In her narration, Cadence is kissed on the beach in June, then wakes in a hospital in August.
Before you start
The story cuts between two summers, and Cadence's changed hair shows which one you are in; the early episodes juggle several side storylines.
1 season, 8 episodes, 56 min each, about 7 hours so far
