Will & Grace

Viewers who still love a studio-audience sitcom with a laugh track and a one-liner every few seconds will settle in at once. Sean Hayes plays Jack as flighty and sure of himself; Megan Mullally's Karen is a heavy drinker and pill taker who never notices how rude she is. In an early episode, Grace wants a single giant bathroom, and Will agrees just to prove he can compromise.

Episodes stand alone, and the pace is liveliest in the first few seasons and slower through the middle.
