Is it for me?
Crime fans who like their investigator odd and a little otherworldly will get on with it. Winter climbs rock faces, drives a vintage MG and talks to the dead. His first case, a frozen body, gives him a listener straight away. Richard Armitage plays him brooding and watchful, so the quirks come across as intense rather than cute.
Before you start
Each episode is its own murder case, so you can pick it up in any sitting, while Winter's private search runs underneath the season.
