World War II with Tom Hanks

Casual history fans get a clear, polished first pass at the war, with a big score. Each hour starts with Tom Hanks speaking straight to camera before the story begins, then historians such as Antony Beevor take over from his voiceover where veterans might have spoken. Some of the footage is rarely seen.

Each hour takes one phase of the war and builds on the last, so watch it front to back and stop between episodes.
