Is it for me?
Viewers who want a Holmes with swagger and speed, not a drawing-room puzzle, will have a good time. Dónal Finn plays Moriarty as a slow-burning presence rather than an obvious villain, and he and Sherlock end up racing to find two missing professors. It moves like an adventure romp, with a hero who rushes in first and works out the rest afterward.
Before you start
Each episode is titled as a numbered case, but they all feed one running mystery, so watch them in order.
1 season, 8 episodes, 49 min each, about 7 hours so far
