- S02E01Episode 1No longer having to impersonate his twin brother and following his successful closure rate for the major investigation team, puzzle setter John ‘Ludwig' Taylor returns under his new job title of crime scene consultant.After retrieving the files from storage, John is determined to find the incriminating information that led to Sinclair's death and James's disappearance.As the Cambridge Police Authority undergoes investigation in light of the Holly Pinder scandal, an unusual double confession at the theatre sees John take centre stage, where he must prove who didn't commit the crime. The case takes a turn when John meets a key witness who appears to recognise him – and not because he's Ludwig. Is there more to this witness than meets the eye?
- S02E02Episode 2When a ceilidh is cut short by an unwelcome guest, John is left in a spin. Ironically, a murder witnessed by an entire wedding party proves to be quite the puzzle. While John feels overwhelmed by the variables, the crime stirs up difficult emotions for Russell.Chief Constable Ziegler's abrupt holiday leave arouses suspicion from the Taylors. Now with too many strange pieces on their board, nothing seems like a coincidence. In a bid to get answers from the prime suspect embedded in their investigation, Lucy goes on a stakeout.
- S02E03Episode 3Disobeying station rules, John pops into the Cambridge Police Authority, hoping to find intel for Lucy's upcoming assignment. But keeping a low profile proves difficult for our puzzle genius when he finds himself unable to resist consulting on the murder of an influencer. Navigating his way through Cambridge's labyrinth, Ludwig must map out how the killer was able to dodge being seen on camera in an area saturated with CCTV.Meanwhile, Lucy and Henry attempt to connect the dots in their investigation and reach a breakthrough revelation on their prime suspect. But as the pieces fall into place, they can't help but wonder whether their opponent is already one step ahead of them.
